Thick Wall Hot Dip Galvanized Round Steel Pipe is a heavy-duty galvanized steel pipe designed for applications requiring high strength, pressure resistance, and long-term corrosion protection. Thick Wall Hot Dip Galvanized Round Steel Pipe is a carbon steel pipe with a wall thickness generally above 3mm. Compared with standard galvanized pipes, it provides higher load-bearing capacity, stronger impact resistance, and better dimensional stability.

The pipe is produced using ERW welded steel pipes or seamless steel pipes as the base material. After surface cleaning, flux treatment, and hot dip galvanizing at approximately 450℃, a zinc-iron alloy layer and pure zinc protective layer are formed on both internal and external surfaces.

Material and Manufacturing Standards

1. Common Steel Grades

2. Production Process

The production process starts with high-quality carbon steel pipes. The pipes undergo surface cleaning, acid pickling, water washing, and flux treatment before entering the hot dip galvanizing bath.

During galvanizing, the pipe is immersed in molten zinc at around 440–460℃. The zinc reacts with the steel surface to create a metallurgical bonding layer, ensuring strong adhesion and long-term corrosion protection.

After cooling and inspection, each pipe is checked for zinc coating thickness, surface quality, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical performance before shipment.
